How was it up there this weekend ? any new changes ? how was the waiting time between classes. Did the new team do a good job or is it too early to tell.
Hope the weather held out for you guys.

Davey

I agree that it was a good weekend. Heard lots of good things as well as sentiments like, "the good old days" which I will take as a good sign.

I kept hearing the names Joe Schmall, Brad Mickle, Steve Roehrs and Dave Engler on the loud speaker as I was also going rounds late in the day. Congrats to all as well as those I missed or just don't know yet.

Ahhh. Bet that made for a nice wheelie. Looks like lots of things to fix at Team Zenzen in the weeks to come.

Mr. Roehrs got me in the 3rd round as well in Bracket 1.

See ya in Staging!!!

And a great job to the track staff on the track prep all day even with the poor conditions during the weekend! The wheelstands speak for themselves

I would say it was a GREAT WEEKEND at BIR. A bit light on the car count---but, considering it was Mother's Day weekend/Fishing Opener/Sat. Weather I think it was fair.

Congrats Steve on your S/ST WIN---without a T-Stop!

See ya in Staging!!!

Yes! There are some good changes! BIR bought a new track scrubber that cuts oil down clean up in half. It's the same machine the safety safari uses and it got it's workout on Sunday. There were about 4 oil downs (2 massive) with about a 20 minute clean up time. Time down between classes was very minimal. I ran 3 different classes in 13 minutes. S/pro round 4 @ 6:06, S/st @ 6:12, and Pro @6:19. They gave a time run on Sunday morning so eliminations didn't get started until about noon. They called cars to the lanes a 8:45 and didn't hear anything about motor curfews like the past. We ran until 7:15 for the finals. Pat and Joyce are back too! There were over 300 cars. I would guess around 75 in Pro and S/pro. Even the announcing was improved! Fire and rescue were at Todd Larson's car before it was stopped after the motor let go. They even got license runs and exhibition runs in the later rounds. I had a couple runs with missing 1/8 mile info in the right lane. Traction was good. Even Barry was in a good mood! The only complaints were about the cold rain on Saturday. Steve

Test-n-Tune on Friday went good. Track was fair--a tad lose down track, but decent. I made 4 runs and the 60' were all 1.48 for my Chevelle. They ran the NHRA extended tech and did chassis certs yesterday and today as well.

Today they ran 1 Rd of Bracket III, Bracket I, Bikes, S/ST, S/G, S/C, and S/SS before the rains stopped the action.

Very light car count. I would guess under 200 cars total. Sounds like we will be given 1 run in the AM on Sunday and run the program as the weather is looking pretty good for Sunday.

See ya in Staging!!!
