How come there is STILL nothing on BIR's web page about payout for the 2008 season?
I've done some math while in Internet Racer Forum Rehab...IF BIR's payout struture for the Super Classes is 32 cars ($110) entry, pays $1000 Win/$500 R-U, then the BRACKET should pay $2000 Win/$1000 R-U if there are more than 88 cars. Agree???
I imagine they are waiting until after the "racer meeting" to post anything.
In the current bracket setup with 88 cars the track pays out a total of $3250 and sticks $3790 in their pocket. Nice little profit on a single class at one event.
Could you imagine putting a gambler's race together and the track wanted a 54% cut of the entries? I remember the outrage when they started keeping 10% back in the mid-90s. I wonder why they made a decision to start replacing some gambler's races with Saturday points races.
Everyone just keep showing up and entering every available class, and things will change for the better!!!
Perhaps now that BIR is done messing around with jumping snowmobiels at the track they will focus on what has kept the track open for the past 20-25-30+ how many ever years it's been...and that's the drag racer!!!
If i remember right.... Brainerd makes next to nothing on their bracket races (mostly due to the extra staff). The weekends that they make a lot of money are the show and go, muscle car shootout, and the nationals.
