tim, i was there and this is what i abserved,,,we went to China Pogoda for lunch and here goes,,,Davey went thru line once and didn't quite eat everything, oh and he had a regular Coke,(i think he was still a little nervous from the the morning Dyno session),,Mel went thru line once and just had water to drink, cleaned his whole plate, but immediately put in a pinch of copenhagen!Dougie went thru line twice and had a Diet Coke to drink and after cleaning both plates seemed very saticfied!!Now i went thru line twice, but i also had a bowl of hot and sour soup!i often wondered why they call it hot and sour, but after consuming it,,,it kind of makes sence!!i also, like Dougie had a Diet Coke,,,Davey paid the bill in apprietiation for all the the support,,,and i left a 4 dollar tip cause i thought the service was exceptional...and that does it for the stats i remember,,, i hope this helps Tim,,,you know after rereading my post i noticed, the ones that ate the most, had DIET COKES!! HA HA Pretty Funny

It seems like the guys that eat the most always drink the DIETCOKES. I wish I could have come along and helped. With lunch not the dyno session. I get my own dyno session in a few weeks and I'm sure I will get stuck for lunch too. Come on Dave, I'm glad lunch went well but how about those numbers.

That doesn't seem like much from an all aluminum 632. Oh wait the 632 guys don't drink DIET COKES. Sorry wrong Dave.

If inquiry minds need to know. It made 504 torque at 5,700 RPM and 560 HP at 5,900 RPM Not bad for a head limited 412ci The torque curve started at 5000 and doesn't drop till 6100 the HP curve starts at 5700 and drops off at 6500
The roller cam is all I did different this year and it brought both curves higher in the RPM range. Perfect for bracket racing.
carb is a 950 HP
I did not build for Monster power I build for reliability and bracket racing.
Hope this help Tim

The new cam brought the power UP in the RPM range? I like my torque converters to stall higher than your peak HP RPM!!!
Small heads aren't much on the dyno but can really move a car down the track. I would say yours moves OK already too. Good luck with it and I'll probably see you in a few weeks!

Dave that sounds sweet. It should work well in your car. Remember it's the package not just the motor and it sounds like you should be in good shape for a successful season. Good luck with it. Tim

Harmel Sponsor and Videographer Dougie here. Mel gave me permission to enter and I must say, the Davey Hamilton dyno session was incredible. We shot a documentary during the entire session and will show it at one of the early race weekends at The Rock. Davie's session is followed up by a HarMel Dyno session just a few days ago which was also placed on digital longevity in documentary form for your viewing pleasure. Both motors made it through with no flying parts, great consistency in all metered categories and happy driver/oweners. I'll let them tell you the details as I agree with Going and Gone Banana's that dyno numbers are for the dynie to divulge. But I can say that the Chinese and Diet Coke's were terrific and both driver/owers held up during their sessions with grace and excitement. Can't wait for the season to begin and for new video, DQ treats, Jeffie/Redbone cooking and Rose Beatles in May. Thanks for the great time Racers. Dougie at Park Midwest Commercial Real Estate.

not to be out done by davey and mel,and learning quite a bit from watching there dyno sessions, with the weather bein a bit nasty to work outside today i decided to do some dynoin myself!!to save money i figured i'd just build my own dyno and do it right here on the farm,to save time i bolted the 340 to the 360 back to front, then i bolted the the small hay feeder to the flex plate on the 360,after i torqued the flex bolts i glued apple donkey treats to the dampner on the 340 usin some thick molasses, then i hooked up the water pump hoses to the well house and stuck the gas line in the manure pit catch some of that fresh methane them there sheep like to produce, next i stuck a bail of my choicest 3rd cop hay in the feeder and crossed my fingers as i started em up,brought em up to operating temp, man they were purrin just like our big ole tom cat marv does when you rub his belly, next i checked my weather station 41T 99%H(it was rainin at the time)and 700'adjusted altitude(it amazed me how the altitude match the cube total of both engines)now as i brought the RPM's up one of my fat lambs decided to jump on the feeder tryin to get at the hay,so i brought the R's up a little higher a 2nd lamb jumps on putting a little more strain on the engines,i looked down at the tach now and i was approaching little over 5G's when out of nowhere a 3rd fat lamb jumps on to get at the hay,so i throttled em up to just over 7 grand when my donkey Molly started to bite down on the dampner of the 340 tryin to get those apple treats off, well needless to say here biting down so hard created a tremendous strain on the engines, but when i gazed back at the tach they were holding right at 7100 RPM's,,,,well then i backed off so nobody would get hurt but was very pleased with the results,,,the way i figure each one of them lambs weigh 125#s and Molly's got a bite of about 200psi,so if my math is correct the engines made about 575#s of torque @ 7000 RPM's all while bein 3 sheeps to the wind and haulin an ass, i've got a go now here comes lisa with one of her famous fried egg sandwiches and a can of diet coke!!Joe
